International Students & Families
From new arrival to true belonging
Moving country is a big step. Our aim is to make school change the easiest part—through clear guidance, quick admissions steps and a warm community where students feel they belong.
Students settle in through daily routines, small groups and a supportive environment that helps them build confidence, friendships and a strong sense of belonging.
Everything that matters
Learning by doing
At ISCB, we emphasize hands-on learning and critical thinking skills to foster the integration of new experiences and build a solid foundation of knowledge. Our focus on critical thinking, communication, and emotional education forms the core of our educational approach
Small Classes
Our methodology prioritizes small group learning to enhance students’ opportunities for independent thinking, idea development, effective communication, and the optimization of teacher-student relationships, peer bonds, and personalized coaching, ultimately bringing learning to life for every student.
Forest school
Led by qualified practitioners, our Forest School programme takes full advantage of ISCB’s natural setting. Learners explore, experiment and grow through hands-on outdoor experiences that develop confidence, critical thinking, and a meaningful connection with the environment.
Specialist teachers and TAs
Our experienced native-speaking teachers bring expertise and passion to every classroom. Working alongside dedicated teaching assistants, they ensure each learner receives personalised attention through small-group and cross-year learning opportunities.
Safeguarding
ISCB is committed to child protection, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all our students. Our dedicated team follows stringent safeguarding practices, prioritizing the well-being of each child.
International community
We promote a nurturing and inclusive environment for students from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
University Guidance
Receive tailored advice to help you choose the right university all around the world and successfully prepare your application.
Extracurricular opportunities
Our international school offers a variety of after-school clubs, providing students with diverse extracurricular opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and foster social connections.
English first, confidence always
All subjects are taught in English (except language lessons such as Spanish and Catalan). For families relocating, our admissions team can support communication in multiple languages, including Spanish, Catalan, English, French, German, Swiss or Italian.
If a student needs extra support with English, we can assess their level and put the right support in place to help them access learning with confidence.
The Costa Brava advantage: learning and wellbeing
ISCB is located on the Costa Brava, offering families the balance of international education and everyday wellbeing in a calm, nature-rich setting.
Our environment supports learning beyond the classroom through outdoor experiences, active play and a Forest School approach—helping students feel grounded, confident and ready to learn.
Life on the Costa Brava: the perfect work–life balance for families
Life on the Costa Brava offers the ideal balance between professional opportunities and family wellbeing. It’s a calm, safe lifestyle surrounded by nature—without losing access to the advantages of a major city.
Just one hour from Barcelona and minutes from Girona, families benefit from fast connections to work, international airports and essential services, while children grow up in a healthy, inspiring natural environment.

More than a school: a place to connect
Beyond the classroom, community is what makes a new school feel like home. Families connect through school life, shared events and activities—creating a welcoming network for those who have just arrived.
Parent–Teacher Association (PTA)
Our PTA helps strengthen school life through family-led initiatives, events and community projects.
Admissions open all year round
Relocations don’t follow the school calendar—neither do we. We accept applications throughout the year, including mid-year entry, with a clear, supportive process for families moving on short timelines.
What the process usually includes
- First enquiry: we reply with key information and next steps by email.
- Admissions form: families complete the Admissions Form so we can understand the student’s profile and needs.
- Explore ISCB: if you’d like to move forward, we can schedule a call, a Private Tour, or a Trial Day.
- Admissions decision: we confirm the decision and share a personalised onboarding plan, including any EAL or SEN support if needed.
- Enrolment & welcome: we finalise enrolment and organise welcome steps to help your child settle in smoothly.
