Back to school at ISCB: calm routines, big goals

Where the learning adventure begins

After the holiday break, our corridors in Platja d’Aro are buzzing again. It’s the perfect moment to set steady routines and clear goals for the term ahead.

What makes ISCB special? We are the only British international school in the province of Girona, offering the British National Curriculum all the way to IGCSEs and A-Levels —globally recognised pathways that open doors for our students. The school is also an authorised Pearson Edexcel centre for iGCSE and A-Level examinations.

Day to day, learning happens in small classes with personalised support and a warm, values-led culture (respect, kindness, responsibility and resilience). Teaching is in English, with targeted language support for new joiners. Inclusion, SEND provision and anti-bullying are part of our daily practice, and we are proud to be a UNICEF Rights Respecting school.

Our coastal campus invites learning outdoors: a short walk from the beach for regular water activities, plus Forest School sessions in our natural spaces—alongside science labs, library, art and music rooms, dining hall, and dedicated areas for study and wellbeing.

As pupils settle back, we focus on good habits—reading every day, punctuality, healthy eating and looking after one another—so every learner grows in confidence throughout the spring term.
