YEAR 4 ANIMAL PROJECT
Year 4 students have been diving into the animal kingdom through an enriching and engaging unit. They learned to classify animals into vertebrates (mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles) and invertebrates (insects, worms, jellyfish, snails).
They explored different habitats, how animals adapt to them, and what they need to survive. They also learned to distinguish between herbivores, carnivores and omnivores based on diet.
The class also raised awareness about endangered animals and discussed how we can all help protect them.
FINAL PROJECT:
Each student designed their own invented animal, describing what it looks like, where it lives, and what it eats — a fun and imaginative way to apply all they have learned!
