A Special Outdoor Learning Day at ISCB On 8 May, International School Costa Brava joined the worldwide celebration of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with a very special Outdoor Learning Day for EYFS and Primary pupils. Inspired by Sir David’s lifelong dedication to the natural world, the pupils stepped outside the classroom and embraced a day of discovery, curiosity and hands-on learning in the fresh air. For this memorable occasion, the school grounds were transformed into one large outdoor classroom, where nature became the main source of inspiration. Throughout the day, children explored, observed and connected with the environment around them, reflecting on the importance of caring for the planet and protecting the living world. With no desks and no walls, learning took place through movement, exploration and wonder. International School Costa Brava celebrated an unforgettable Sports Day filled with sunshine, enthusiasm and remarkable team spirit. Throughout the day, pupils took part in a wide range of events, from sprints and relays to fun races and energetic team challenges, turning the school grounds into a vibrant celebration of effort, determination and community. The event was marked not only by sporting achievement, but also by the strong sense of encouragement shared among students. Every race was cheered on with excitement, every challenge was met with commitment, and every participant contributed to the lively house spirit that made the day so special. Whether running, jumping, competing or supporting from the sidelines, each pupil played an important role in the success of the event.
